after creating my small art book—persephone’s journey—about traversing the landscape of grief, i wanted to use the lovely hot foil stamped pomegranate from that project on something else, and so made these cards to share when someone is grieving. there are so many “sympathy” cards in the world that offer platitudes & hollow comfort; i wanted to see if it was possible to create a card that simply says, i see you & i’m here. not trying to make it better, not trying to wish grief away, but an acknowledgement and a simple offering of love. i hope these can be helpful to you. <3
