When these assholes are in our cities, where are they eating? Where are they getting coffee? Where are they getting a beer after a day of work terrorizing our families, friends, and neighbors? In a city like Portland, Maine - a city with one of the highest concentrations of restaurants per capita of any city in the US - how are we sustaining the widespread public pressure for I.C.E. to get the f*ck out? I.C.E. agents shouldn’t have a moment of peace. Even when they’re “off-duty”, they are not welcome in our communities.

The surge of agents and abductions here in Maine may have decreased for the time being, but it didn’t start in January and hasn’t ended. And the fear and anxiety remain. But what also remains is the crucial work of organizing and maintaining the powerful systems of care and mutual aid that the leadership of Maine organizations like Presente! Maine, Portland Outright, and the No I.C.E. for ME coalition have been guiding us to grow. If we are truly in this work for the long haul, we can’t stop organizing now. Stay with it - let’s look to these trusted orgs for guidance and listen to what they tell us about what is needed.

So I letterpress printed cards for folks to post at cash registers, where people order food, or where they enter any business. If you’re local to Portland, Maine and want one, reach out to me at nicole @ radicalemprints .com and I’ll get them to you. If you’re not local, I’m just asking folks to cover the cost of shipping - $5 at checkout. Want a bunch for distribution? Go for it.

No justice, no peace. I.C.E. OUT.
